TicketNetwork was one of multiple community businesses that came together to donate school supplies and food for families in need in Hartford at the launch of the 2023-24 school year. More than 1,000 city students received brand new backpacks from the drive, which was celebrated with a launch event at M.D. Fox Elementary School in late August.

Staff members at TicketNetwork and related companies collected backpacks and school supplies to donate throughout the summer, joining other area companies in the effort.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our community and all of the partners who stepped up to support this effort and ensure children in Greater Hartford have the essential items needed to begin the school year,” says Galo Rodirguez, President and CEO of The Village for Families & Children, which hosted the event in partnership with Staples. “When children have the tools they need to learn and feel good about themselves, they’re in a better place to thrive and succeed. Everyone who contributed to this effort is helping make that a reality for local children.”

Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and staff from Hartford Public Schools, Staples, Travelers, Goya Foods, The Connecticut Sun and The Village were at M.D. Fox Elementary to distribute supplies and wish students a great start to the new school year. TicketNetwork and related companies were also on hand for the celebration and to send the children off for the new year.
