South Windsor, Conn. December 11, 2024 — Connecticut BioTech, a TicketNetwork company, made delivery this month a donation of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Saint Joseph Living Center, a senior living community in Windham. The PPE includes respirator masks, nitrile examination gloves, face shields, and isolation gowns.
“These supplies are a critical resource in maintaining the safety and well-being of our residents and staff,” says Marissa Kowal, Administrator at Saint Joseph Living Center. “The support from community partners like CT BioTech and TicketNetwork allows us to sustain a safe environment and exemplifies the kindness we deeply value.”

PPE is of vital importance to both residents and staff at senior living centers like Saint Joseph, particularly during the winter season when respiratory viruses are common.
LeadingAge Connecticut, a membership organization comprised of non-profit aging centers, was critical in the donation effort, connecting leadership at Connecticut BioTech with the administration at Saint Joseph.
“We are so appreciative of [this] generous offer to donate personal protective equipment to the non-profit aging services sector,” says Mag Morelli, President of LeadingAge Connecticut. “We know that the PPE will go to good use at Saint Joseph Living Center.”
Items donated included:
- 480 cases of nitrile exam gloves
- 288 cases of N95 respirator masks
- 15 Cases of level 3 surgical masks
- 78 Isolation gowns
- 8 Cases of Face shields
Connecticut Biotech was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide solutions to the community need for PPE and other healthcare supplies, and that mission is ongoing. It has committed to making regular donations of needed supplies to community organizations throughout its operation, even as the acute need for PPE among the general public has waned.
“TicketNetwork and Connecticut BioTech have a tradition of providing support to our community partners, particularly during the holiday season,” says Todd Wirsch, Chief of Staff at TicketNetwork and Connecticut BioTech. “It is great to know that these items will make a difference for this facility, its staff, and their families.”
Facilities interested inquiring about potential donations are encouraged to contact Connecticut BioTech directly.
